So you couldn't find the exact Ford vehicle you wanted at your local dealership and you decided to
order it instead!
You did not get instant gratification and now you are anxiously waiting for your ordered truck to
arrive.. So how do you
track your Ford order?
Get Vehicle Order Confirmation..
You should get that on the day
of order. It contains the order number, dealer number
and other important information. It also details what you order so it may be a good idea to study
the printout to make sure it is
the way you want it.
Get the VIN number from your dealer.
Your dealer should have
this available about one month after your order.
The VIN is 17 digits long and is unique to each vehicle.
Download your window sticker
To download the window sticker
(Monroney sticker), simply type in your
VIN number below and click "get window sticker". When your window sticker appears, click File, Save As,
and then name it windowsticker.pdf and save it to the desktop so you can easily find it and open it
by using Adobe Reader.
Then click the “Back” button in your browser to come back here.
The Window Sticker will look something like this:

Verify the information
This may be a good time to double check
that all the information is correct. Although,
since Ford assigned a VIN, you cannot make changes at this time..
Find out when your vehicle will be built
On the top of our
window sticker example above
you will see the numbers 220110215. The first number 2 means "to be built", the next four digits are
the year, next two
are the month, and last two are the day. So according to the above windows sticker, our example
vehicle's birthday is February 15, 2011.
(It takes Ford about 18 hours to make a vehicle at the
Ford Rouge Plant)
Find out when your vehicle will be shipped to the dealership
For this part you need to call Ford Fleet Information
Center at
1-800-343-5338. Then press 2 and then press 2 again to check order status.
(Unless your dealership gives you the password, the dealership may have to do this for you)
For SVT orderers only:
If you ordered a SVT vehicle such as the
Ford Raptor or a Shelby GT500, then you can call SVT at 1-800-367-3788.
